Our Founders Story
Born and brought up in the culturally rich city of Varanasi, Ashutosh Kumar is a dynamic individual with a deep-rooted connection to his family’s legacy. Hailing from a lineage of three generations dedicated to manufacturing and exporting silk and silk fabrics, Ashutosh has seamlessly blended tradition with modern creativity in his approach to design. His passion for innovation and intricate craftsmanship has earned him recognition in the industry and beyond.
Having traversed the globe, Ashutosh has explored over 30 countries, gaining invaluable insights and inspiration from diverse cultures. His global travels have not only broadened his perspective but also enriched his design aesthetic, infusing his creations with a unique and cosmopolitan flair that resonates with audiences worldwide.
Spearheading the mother company, Banaras Silk Manufacturing Co. as Director, Ashutosh has ventured into the e-comm sector of India with much passion and relentless drive to fulfil the demand and supply gap in the domestic market.

Shubhi Agrawal is a dynamic individual with a multifaceted background and a passion for innovation. Holding a degree in Bachelor of Fashion Technology in Apparel Manufacturing and Information Technology from NIFT, Kolkata, she emerged as the topper of her batch, showcasing her exceptional academic prowess. Her achievements were further accentuated by being awarded a Gold Medal by the then Textile Minister of India, a testament to her excellence in the field.
Shubhi’s approach to her work is characterized by creativity and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. She thrives on listening to her clients’ needs and crafting unique solutions, often pushing the boundaries of conventional thinking.
Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, Shubhi ventured into the e-commerce sector, establishing her own brand, “House of Silko.” Specializing in lifestyle products and home furnishing made-ups, the brand has garnered recognition for its top quality and unique designs.
